I didn't realize how such a simple outfit can balance out so well and look so good. First off, can we just admire the blazer. Is it an ordinary black blazer? No, no it is not. And why? Because it is actually of hijab appropriate length! Can I have a hallelujah! I was debatable about buying it seeing as it wasn't what I was looking for, but then I realized I would be doing something disappointing to all hijabis if I didn't buy it so technically I did it for all of us out there:D
But as you can see, the outfit is simple! Just added a little "flavor," I guess you could call it with the cheetah scarf and gold-chain tooth necklace (no that's not a real tooth guys).

Oh and yes of course, good luck to everyone taking their finals this week or next week or even after! We're almost done guys and then break!...well for a short time and then back to school *sigh* it never ends. Hope you guys loved the outfit and don't forget to look cute for exams!

The first thing I say when I realize it's a surprise for me, "ugh I hate you all," when in actuality, I am so blessed. So my friend Sabira told me she needed to take photos for her blog, when really she just wanted to take these amazing pictures and surprise me with them at this surprise party she was planning with my #behindthescenegirls, Anum and Mishaal and the only other girl I get mixed up so much with because we have the same name, Fatimah Jaffer. She told me for her "porfolio" she wanted a fantasy and elegant look so what better than making it minty and pearly! And of course I have to add edge with the studded jean shirt. She also said she didn't want any black, and so forest green worked best! She wanted pearls everywhere so I got all the necklaces and rings I have (well not all the rings since I have so many), and jeweled up. Thanks to her I finally I got to use this headband I've been trying to figure out an outfit for! I hope you guys loved this outfit as much as I did. I honestly loved it because it's such a perfect mix of chic, cute, elegant, edgy, and hijabi ;)

Don't you love how a blazer and pumps takes a normal outfit of pattern-blocking from cute to a "I-need-to-wear-this-outfit-out-tonight" outfit, which is exactly what I did! When you never know what to wear to a semi-formal dinner with friends, when in doubt put a blazer on it and you'll be perfectly dressed for the occasion. And if you're feeling daring (like I was), then put some heels on! I fell in love with these when I bought them and they are surprisingly one of my most comfortable ones...well for the first hour, then you start contemplating about walking bare feet. So, this is basically how I would dress on a night out for dinner with friends and I hope you loved it (and if it not then at least the red pumps) as much as I did! Also, sorry for the late post, something called school was getting in the way -_-

I really like this outfit. Like, a lot. It's not the usual, and yet it's punky, chic, cute, and girly all at the same time. Gotta love candids #cheesinhard

So I finally bought this button down denim shirt that I've been looking for and it had studs on the shoulders so I just had to get it. But, I was having a tough time figuring out how to wear it properly, until one day the lights finally turned in my brain and I thought, um of course a black maxi will make this shirt hijab appropriate and super cute...and it did! So the outfit is quite simple as I took the shirt and tucked it in to make it look more polished I suppose. The light denim I feel gave me a lot of scarves to work with, but I really wanted to do this deep red just because I loved the mix of it with the gold studs and the contrast on the denim. The watch, rings, and purse maintain the "classiness" of the outfit and add the nice touches to make it a perfect outfit for a shopping day at the outlets or a lunch date with a friend or even a surprise birthday party (because that's where I wore this)! As for this week's outfit, I'm sure the dress looks familiar, and instead of color clashing, I color...coordinated! It's rather simple, and I used my dress to tie everything together. Of course, the rose gold watch was the perfect accessory for the event to keep the outfit fashionable yet classy. And you know how I love putting my belt in my scarf, so I thought hey why not! I feel like when people see me in this outfit they think I'm getting really dressed up, but in all honesty, this is one of my most comfortable winter outfits. The shirt has the elegant, "girly" look to it, but then put on the jacket, and bam! Instant "edginess" :D Simple, super cute, comfortable...this outfit has all of it. And yeah it's not cold enough for these boots but I mean it's already December, about time I bring them out.

Honestly...it was matching at first sight when the blazer laid eyes on the black and white chiffon polk-a-dot shirt. Obviously they needed an instigator to get them together (me of course), but nonetheless, they're matching happily ever after. This week's outfit is just a mix of everything! We've got pattern blocking, a vintage edge look, and to top it off a vibrant blue blazer to put the "icing on the cake" for  this outfit!


Before, this outfit was going to be my infinity floral scarf with its variety of colored flowers and black background to tie with the chiffon shirt and what was to be green skinny jeans...but, I decided to change it up instead, giving polk-a-dots an upgrade from just being cute. I love putting this blue blazer with this kind of outfit because it gives a good balance of cute and chic/modern, and adds that splash of blue to the outfit, making it not so serious as a blazer should make an outfit. I just really liked this week's outfit because it's dressed up, but still maintains that simple and cute look. And then of course, how can you not put this outfit with combat boots? Well, actually you can, but it just completes the outfit so well! It coordinates well with the brown mesh of floral in the scarf, and let's be honest, it can just match pretty much anything (which is what makes me love these boots even more).

Hello Fashion Lovers! Today is an exciting day for me, because though I should've had this earlier, today's my first interview!  That's why today's outfit is compiled of a few of my favorite things from my closet and will also show another essential I feel everyone should have in their closet.  Guys aren't the only ones that can rock blazers (well unless you're Harvey Specter, then he rocks it the most), but a blazer is something I feel you need to have in a closet. It makes an outfit go from ordinary, to polished and just really stylish and cute, by just pulling it over a plain striped dress such as this one. This isn't my first blazer, but I do suggest that if you do want to buy a blazer, start off with a basic blue or black, just because it's easy to match with. I've always wanted a red/maroon blazer so when I saw this one, I had to get it (especially after only being $10). The cut of this blazer is different because it does not have the two stitched lines in the back, making it fit your back, but it's not so bad where it throws off the

whole outfit to not working. I also like it because one, of the two pockets (very convenient and adds more to it), and two because it's pretty light and bearable to wear this time of the year (especially in Florida). I wonder if you guys will get tired of seeing my pattern blocking...but I couldn't help myself and had to wear this scarf with this striped dress! The off-white/cream color blends well with the mesh of beige, different tones of green, mustard yellow and purple. And I understand there isn't an exact maroon color in the scarf to match the blazer, but I felt the colors were close enough to work well together.
I know, the summer is just ending and I'm already starting to bring about my boots, and I know this outfit would've looked cute with my flats, but I just didn't feel right wearing this outfit without the boots. I wasn't kidding when I said "get used to them," because with the next few months coming up, you'll be seeing them a lot more often :D But anyway, I honestly feel these boots are perfect for anything, and especially this outfit due to its camel tan color, working with the mix of colors in the outfit and especially the maroon blazer. They change the attitude of the outfit by giving it an edge, but still having a polished look with the blazer. And of course, the two pearl rings and purse just wraps up the outfit by giving a classy touch to it.

It's Monday, so you know what that means...today's "My Outfits Monday!" :D I hope I'm not the only this excited, because then that would be awkward...
Okay let's start talking about this week's outfit! You may be telling yourself that this outfit looks quite familiar. And it actually is. The striped shirt on top of the maxi is from the first outfit I posted, but this time I changed the patterns that I "blocked" together and changed the style of the purse. I've been quite crazy about aztec print for quite a while and have actually had my eye on this scarf for some time as well; thanks to a friend of mine and her "sixth sense" of just seeing a scarf and knowing I'd like it, I finally got it! And so I thought, hey I'll do this week's outfit with it!
Now in the beginning, I wasn't sure if these two prints would work together because I thought aztec had lines that looked similar to stripes, but really they are more zig-zags, triangles, and diamonds all meshed into a rather different, not so subtle (but not too loud) pattern that mixes great with stripes (I just love stripes, they work with everything). What I love most about this outfit and why I feel it would be appropriate for the summer (and since it's almost over unfortunately) is because it's simple yet has the perfect pop of color with the bright orange bringing the orange of the scarf and the bag together and basically putting the "icing on top of the cake" when it comes to this outfit. I was given this bag as a gift as well and at first I had no idea how I was going to use it, but this scarf is just one of the many things it actually matches with and I feel it's the perfect accessory when you want to go simple yet stand out.

Hello fellow fashionable folks (pretty good alliteration if I must say)! Today's outfit is one of my favorites. Not only because of the green skinny jeans but also because this scarf of all the scarves in my collection, is my favorite. Can we just have a moment to appreciate how lovely this floral scarf is *taking a moment of appreciation*. Okay, but all jokes aside, I do really like this outfit because it is just great for hijabis! This shirt is from Old Navy and is so amazing because it's one, a high-low, two perfect length, and three, just a cute shirt that when put on makes any outfit stylish. By the way, there were six different styles of this shirt...and I got all six. And I'm so glad I did because it makes having style and being a hijabi so easy if you ask me (I'll do a post venturing into this little collection). What pulls this outfit together really well is just how all the colors work. The green jeans set apart from the black part of the shirt yet mix so well with the cream-white bow flats and then of course ties together with the scarf because of the greens. Another thing I like about the jeans is that they're not skin tight skinny jeans. They're fitting, but have just the right amount of looseness. The purse, I know you've seen it before and it may just be something you'll have to get used to seeing because it's "that" bag which works with a lot of outfits and adds the right touch of vintage and classiness. Moving along...I know hijabis come across seeing others put pins or headbands in their scarf (which are great accessories for a scarf!), but those aren't the only two things which can be added on your scarf! Yes, the braided double band is actually a belt! In order to do this, you need a belt that is not stiff and rather flexible (I guess you could say) and is able to bend around your head comfortably. It's not hard at all to put on actually and looks really cute on the right outfit.
