This outfit makes me feel like the girl from Wild Thornberry, except I don't have a talking monkey as a friend. Ever look in your closet and say "what would happen if I put these two together?" Well that is what happened to me. At first I had thought to my comfortable jasmine black pants on them to suit the summer "look," but then I fell upon these khakis which I've truthfully had for quite some time but never actually wore, so I figured it was their time to shine. I'm usually not a fan of mixing colors such as khaki/cream and white, but sometime we need to step out of our box. And with the help of a fashion tip of a good friend of mine, the combat boots perfectly pull the colors together! The vibrant mustard yellow scarf adds the spontaneity and "ready for adventure" touch. And who says you can't accessorize when you're on an adventure, thus the arm candy! The jeaned blouse over the striped shirt seemed the appropriate cardigan to give this outfit its adventurous look.
