This outfit makes me feel like the girl from Wild Thornberry, except I don't have a talking monkey as a friend. Ever look in your closet and say "what would happen if I put these two together?" Well that is what happened to me. At first I had thought to my comfortable jasmine black pants on them to suit the summer "look," but then I fell upon these khakis which I've truthfully had for quite some time but never actually wore, so I figured it was their time to shine. I'm usually not a fan of mixing colors such as khaki/cream and white, but sometime we need to step out of our box. And with the help of a fashion tip of a good friend of mine, the combat boots perfectly pull the colors together! The vibrant mustard yellow scarf adds the spontaneity and "ready for adventure" touch. And who says you can't accessorize when you're on an adventure, thus the arm candy! The jeaned blouse over the striped shirt seemed the appropriate cardigan to give this outfit its adventurous look. His "don't mess with my sister" look

"This dress makes me happy" said my sister-in-law when she saw me in this super colorful and bright dress. This dress is perfect to start the summer off with because it's not only so colorful and has that "fun-in-the-sun" look but it is also very comfortable. I think my favorite part of the maxi was that it was under ten dollars :D As for the jean shirt, I usually fold it to make the rest of the maxi look like a maxi skirt, but I just wanted to be as comfortable (and cute) as possible so I turned into a cardigan and buttoned it down half way so it's not so restricting and tied a belt to just add a little structure. Oh, the bag! How much do you love this bag? Because I just love it! It's that fun bag yet very chic with the touches of gold. Oh, and well it's Florida and summer time so you can imagine the heat, so I just decided to loosely wrap my scarf, but it still does what it needs to and lets a little more air pass by! Hope you guys are looking forward to the rest of my summer outfits!

The first thing I say when I realize it's a surprise for me, "ugh I hate you all," when in actuality, I am so blessed. So my friend Sabira told me she needed to take photos for her blog, when really she just wanted to take these amazing pictures and surprise me with them at this surprise party she was planning with my #behindthescenegirls, Anum and Mishaal and the only other girl I get mixed up so much with because we have the same name, Fatimah Jaffer. She told me for her "porfolio" she wanted a fantasy and elegant look so what better than making it minty and pearly! And of course I have to add edge with the studded jean shirt. She also said she didn't want any black, and so forest green worked best! She wanted pearls everywhere so I got all the necklaces and rings I have (well not all the rings since I have so many), and jeweled up. Thanks to her I finally I got to use this headband I've been trying to figure out an outfit for! I hope you guys loved this outfit as much as I did. I honestly loved it because it's such a perfect mix of chic, cute, elegant, edgy, and hijabi ;)

I really like this outfit. Like, a lot. It's not the usual, and yet it's punky, chic, cute, and girly all at the same time. And I don't know how I thought of it either, to be honesty I probably saw something like it on instagram or facebook and then it just popped to mind. Hope you guys love this outfit as much as I do!

Honestly...it was matching at first sight when the blazer laid eyes on the black and white chiffon polk-a-dot shirt. Obviously they needed an instigator to get them together (me of course), but nonetheless, they're matching happily ever after. This week's outfit is just a mix of everything! We've got pattern blocking, a vintage edge look, and to top it off a vibrant blue blazer to put the "icing on the cake" for  this outfit!


Before, this outfit was going to be my infinity floral scarf with its variety of colored flowers and black background to tie with the chiffon shirt and what was to be green skinny jeans...but, I decided to change it up instead, giving polk-a-dots an upgrade from just being cute. I love putting this blue blazer with this kind of outfit because it gives a good balance of cute and chic/modern, and adds that splash of blue to the outfit, making it not so serious as a blazer should make an outfit. I just really liked this week's outfit because it's dressed up, but still maintains that simple and cute look. And then of course, how can you not put this outfit with combat boots? Well, actually you can, but it just completes the outfit so well! It coordinates well with the brown mesh of floral in the scarf, and let's be honest, it can just match pretty much anything (which is what makes me love these boots even more).
