You know when you get a purse and you're like "omg I love it!...now which outfit do I wear it with?" Yeah, I had one of those moments when I got this super cute Aztec printed cross-body bag. Well I finally figured it out and I made this outfit one loud for sure. As if having a bold print for the purse wasn't enough, I just added a little color. Honestly though, it is just a little, just extremely bright :D My cousin had gotten the scarves but she told me she wouldn't wear them, so I figured I couldn't turn down an opportunity to wear a highlighter colored scarf and just stand out like no tomorrow. And so that's what I did. The long light denim blouse allows for all the mix of colors to somehow fuse into each other. You know how I love to contrast my colors, so I did so by wearing my favorite African flip-flops that has a vibrant blue beading, contrasting the neon orange. You just need to be a little creative and in a "yolo" mood to wear something like this. Also, yes I took all of these pictures with a selfie stick! To my friend that got it for me, thank you again! This outfit makes me feel like the girl from Wild Thornberry, except I don't have a talking monkey as a friend. Ever look in your closet and say "what would happen if I put these two together?" Well that is what happened to me. At first I had thought to my comfortable jasmine black pants on them to suit the summer "look," but then I fell upon these khakis which I've truthfully had for quite some time but never actually wore, so I figured it was their time to shine. I'm usually not a fan of mixing colors such as khaki/cream and white, but sometime we need to step out of our box. And with the help of a fashion tip of a good friend of mine, the combat boots perfectly pull the colors together! The vibrant mustard yellow scarf adds the spontaneity and "ready for adventure" touch. And who says you can't accessorize when you're on an adventure, thus the arm candy! The jeaned blouse over the striped shirt seemed the appropriate cardigan to give this outfit its adventurous look.  I tell ya, it's convenient when you have a hijabi blogger as a friend because it's like they know what scarf to get you to really....inspire you! This week's outfit was inspired by a fellow Hijabi Hero, Malikah Ebrahim, also my twinkie!
This scarf created the perfect bright, summer-fun outfit that I think is one of my favorite so far! I've realized that this summer has made me just want to wear color all the time and I'm not afraid of layering solid colors anymore because it's not as difficult as it seems, as long as you go the right scarf! Hope you guys love this outfit as much as I do and try splashing some colors together! It'll make you #ootd (outfit-of-the-day) all day, every day!

You guys remember that blog I posted about the essential pieces of clothing you need in your closet? Well, I've got a new essential, and that my friends is a cobalt blue maxi. Yes, you need it! It's not only appropriate for the summer, but it's such a pretty color that you can easily dress it up for a night out with that special someone ;D just kidding that special someone is me, myself, and I  ( #dontaskmeoutIwearascarf ). But honestly though, you guys need to go shop for one (ehem at H&M...I promise I'm not addicted to this store, well kind of not addicted). You can make it into a maxi skirt like I did with today's outfit or put a cardigan, blazer, even a leather jacket if you want to feel super edgy! Because it's summer time, and I'm just soaking up the summer colors, I was feeling the stripes since it reminds me of sailing ( #Imonaboat ) and well the orange on the bag just POPS, and makes it fun and stands out and it's been a while since I've worn it, so I thought why not! Well hope you guys loved this week's outfit and are excited for more because I've just got so many ideas and I can't wait for you to see them!

His "don't mess with my sister" look

"This dress makes me happy" said my sister-in-law when she saw me in this super colorful and bright dress. This dress is perfect to start the summer off with because it's not only so colorful and has that "fun-in-the-sun" look but it is also very comfortable. I think my favorite part of the maxi was that it was under ten dollars :D As for the jean shirt, I usually fold it to make the rest of the maxi look like a maxi skirt, but I just wanted to be as comfortable (and cute) as possible so I turned into a cardigan and buttoned it down half way so it's not so restricting and tied a belt to just add a little structure. Oh, the bag! How much do you love this bag? Because I just love it! It's that fun bag yet very chic with the touches of gold. Oh, and well it's Florida and summer time so you can imagine the heat, so I just decided to loosely wrap my scarf, but it still does what it needs to and lets a little more air pass by! Hope you guys are looking forward to the rest of my summer outfits!

I really like this outfit. Like, a lot. It's not the usual, and yet it's punky, chic, cute, and girly all at the same time. And I don't know how I thought of it either, to be honesty I probably saw something like it on instagram or facebook and then it just popped to mind. Hope you guys love this outfit as much as I do!

Honestly, I owe this outfit to my mom, she made me improvise. So we went shopping because she's leaving on a trip soon to visit her family in Africa and I saw these Aztec printed  loose pants, kind of like jasmine pants but a little more straight. Loved them, asked for them, didn't get them. Reason being - "you already have pants just like that." And she was referring to these very much African style pants that I honestly bought because I was being a foreigner and thought they were cute but never really thought I would actually wear them because they were just "too African"...though, my mom begged to differ. She said I don't wear these pants, but now I don't know how right she is about that. I had an outfit set in mind when I saw the Aztec pants, but since I couldn't get them, I decided why not make an outfit with these, and to be honest, I think it's one of my favorites so far because of how well themed it is yet chic at the same time! Now I think I would actually wear this out because the blazer gives it a modern (or classy) spin that makes it appealing to yours and other people's eyes. Well I hope you guys like this outfit as much as I did! Remember, life's too short to dress boring, so dress it up! :)
