Just writing the title already has got the song stuck in my head but hello my lovely fashionistas! It's Monday, and we all know what that means..it means 4 more days till Friday! So blogging and looking at other bloggers made me realize that people try looks that could appeal to as many as people as possible and that's good! But everyone's got their classic look and putting this together made me realize that it's been some time since I've got to wear and share my classic look of meshing pattern-blocking and color-blocking. I had actually just bought this polk-a-dot dress and even though I probably have a lot of polk-a-dot tops...eh what is one more going to do right! It's perfect for the summer and all my hijabis out there because it's loose, flowy yet flatters you and keeps you cool because of the material (wow, I should just get into advertising because you know I sold it to ya!).
I'm thinking it'll be my summer dress, or one of them for that matter. You may have felt you've seen this too many times, but sometimes you just want to your classic look so hope you still loved the outfit and see you next Monday!

This outfit makes me feel like the girl from Wild Thornberry, except I don't have a talking monkey as a friend. Ever look in your closet and say "what would happen if I put these two together?" Well that is what happened to me. At first I had thought to my comfortable jasmine black pants on them to suit the summer "look," but then I fell upon these khakis which I've truthfully had for quite some time but never actually wore, so I figured it was their time to shine. I'm usually not a fan of mixing colors such as khaki/cream and white, but sometime we need to step out of our box. And with the help of a fashion tip of a good friend of mine, the combat boots perfectly pull the colors together! The vibrant mustard yellow scarf adds the spontaneity and "ready for adventure" touch. And who says you can't accessorize when you're on an adventure, thus the arm candy! The jeaned blouse over the striped shirt seemed the appropriate cardigan to give this outfit its adventurous look. Yeah, I loved this scarf..so much.

Okay so every hijabi has that one struggle. My struggle is finding maxi scarves, which are just scarves that have more material because it covers a lot and gives a lot of material to work with. But, my hijabi (or whoever is reading this) friends I have found my solution...and it's called Abaya Republic. Haven't heard of them? Well you're just about to hear all about them.

A friend of mine has always had a different and rather unique style when it comes to her abayas (a black long cover up commonly worn by Muslim women). Honestly, sometimes I don't know how she pulls off some of the ones she wears, but she does and she makes it look easy for people like me who have a very specific style when it comes to abayas. She usually shops in Dubai, which I'm sure many of you know, is quite far from this side of the world. So she had this idea to bring those styles to this side! Best part of this all is how close she is to my house because after I saw her collection of abayas and scarves, I know I've found the place to go to solve my hijabi struggle and create and find my own unique abaya style. I honestly am quite picky when it comes to abayas because of my height and what not, but she has styles that I would truthfully test out and see how they look. Which I did during our little photoshoot, making me fall in love with one of the abayas I tried on! All in all, what I'm trying to say is that you've got to check out what this girl and her sister-in-law have! For the next few months, you'll just be hearing (or reading) me go on about how much I love this weather because for us Floridians, when it gets 60 degrees...we bring out our cup of hot cocoa and tell ourselves that we need to have pumpkin spice lattes (when we all know that we really don't because it's still not cold enough).

Okay, onto the outfit! Today's outfit is actually a favorite of mine because of how easy it is to put together but also because of how vibrant it is yet still staying with the fall theme. I guess we can say we're getting into "sweater weather" and I actually don't wear this one too often but I bring it out with this outfit because it blends so well with the colors of the floral scarf and adds a pop to the gray and white chiffon polk-a-dot shirt. Because of the length of the shirt and sweater (or long cardigan as some call it), I topped the outfit off with my boots of course but you could certainly do flats or even converse or those vans styled shoes ( I don't know the proper terminology so vans styled is what I'm going with). For all those celebrating Eid (Islamic religious holiday) or Diwali or going to a wedding or just like to wear clothing that make you feel really pretty, this is where to shop! A close family friend of has started selling this collection that I didn't notice was very unique until I started to try on the outfits. That title rhymes, right? Just a little, because I kept on repeating it and I think I convinced myself that it rhymes. Well my fashionable fellows, this week we've got a hybrid. I've actually done this concept of mixing fall and summer clothing but this is different especially with kimonos becoming "the thing". You guys know how much I love my boots, if I could wear them all of June and July, let's be real here, I probably would. According to those weather dudes, the cool fall weather should be coming in now and you know what that means....pumpkin spice lattes and boots! But of course, Florida once to be the odd ball out which makes me work with the heat and fulfill my fall fashion!

Right when I bought this kimono, the first thing I thought of was how good it would look with my combat boots (I'm not obsessed with them, I promise). So I simply gathered the basics down: kimono, black dress, and combat boots. Now to figure out the color combination of the jeans and scarf. I had to figure out a good combination of a summer and fall color that of course won't look strange together. I couldn't help but use my peach coral scarf that I've been glued to this whole summer; and color blocked it with my favorite vibrant royal blue skinnies that mix oh so well with the camel tan tone of the combat boots (you guys know you love it)! I felt like wearing a big ring (since those are my favorite accessories), so I dashed on my chunky mint colored ring that correlates well with both colors.

Hello my fashion lovers! Hope you guys are starting to soak up the fall weather (even though it's still 90 degrees in Florida), because I know I am. This outfit I think is a perfect way to get ready for the fall, because it has a few great combinations! To start off, the color of the dress! I just love it! It's a deep, but not dark purple because it's still a vibrant touch to it, that blends so well with the camel tan color of the combat boots. I honestly didn't like this dress at all, because I thought it was really boring, but when I matched a few things with it, I loved it! It has a flow to it, but not as much as high-low, giving it a "sweet&simple" tone to the outfit, and it's so much fun to spin in!
The scarf. Yes, it is the scarf, my favorite scarf. And I think we all can understand why at this point; it has so many great colors in it that's so flexible to match with a lot of outfits, and with this one, the purple and pink of the scarf really pop out. I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm almost always wearing something on top of a top, and this cardigan will probably be the least I will ever wear. I love it because of the cream-white color correlating with the cream-white of the scarf and lace pattern at the border and at the top, which just adds more to the "sweet" look As for my accessories, I added a gold-knotted head band, two pearl rings, and the nude studded bag (which again has gold in it). All three of these have the same tone and color of gold, making them work well together since they all give it that vintage but classy look.

Well I hope you all of you liked this week's outfit! I honestly think I liked it because of how much fun I had spinning in it :D

Hello fellow fashionable folks (pretty good alliteration if I must say)! Today's outfit is one of my favorites. Not only because of the green skinny jeans but also because this scarf of all the scarves in my collection, is my favorite. Can we just have a moment to appreciate how lovely this floral scarf is *taking a moment of appreciation*. Okay, but all jokes aside, I do really like this outfit because it is just great for hijabis! This shirt is from Old Navy and is so amazing because it's one, a high-low, two perfect length, and three, just a cute shirt that when put on makes any outfit stylish. By the way, there were six different styles of this shirt...and I got all six. And I'm so glad I did because it makes having style and being a hijabi so easy if you ask me (I'll do a post venturing into this little collection). What pulls this outfit together really well is just how all the colors work. The green jeans set apart from the black part of the shirt yet mix so well with the cream-white bow flats and then of course ties together with the scarf because of the greens. Another thing I like about the jeans is that they're not skin tight skinny jeans. They're fitting, but have just the right amount of looseness. The purse, I know you've seen it before and it may just be something you'll have to get used to seeing because it's "that" bag which works with a lot of outfits and adds the right touch of vintage and classiness. Moving along...I know hijabis come across seeing others put pins or headbands in their scarf (which are great accessories for a scarf!), but those aren't the only two things which can be added on your scarf! Yes, the braided double band is actually a belt! In order to do this, you need a belt that is not stiff and rather flexible (I guess you could say) and is able to bend around your head comfortably. It's not hard at all to put on actually and looks really cute on the right outfit.

Good evening fellow hijabi fashionistas!
 Since today was Monday, the outfit of the day was a rather cute "summer-ey" coral high-low maxi that is what I think perfect for any hijabi since it has a perfect length and not fitting because of how it flows. I love the color because it's not too bright of a coral yet still grabs attention and cream white cardigan ties with a knit lace design in the back ties in very well, giving the proper coverage!
The two items of this outfit that are my absolute favorite is the purse and the scarf which were both great buys and the best things added to my closet! As a hijabi, you want to make sure you have enough coverage and this scarf which I guess you could call a "maxi" scarf gives you just that. Not only is does it sit & fold really well because of the cotton material, but the collage and mesh of raspberry pink, orange, cream, purple, and a little green flowers gives just enough "pop!" to put the "cherry on top" of the outfit. This purse, let's just say I could write a blog just about how much I love it haha. It's the perfect nude pink with gold studs and patchwork that wraps up the outfit with a little edge to it especially with the gold chain strap.

Just like the title of this blog, I finally decided to get started with showing my hijabi fashion ideas because putting outfits together just became a hobby for me and I started to get fairly good at it. I've always wanted to show people my ideas and see how they would like them. I'm not like any of those huge hijabistas (hijabi + fashionista = that word), but just trying to show people what I got and hope they like it and may add it to their own style!
