Size of the Number Doesn't Matter

10:56 AM

Gaza: 196 houses blown, 172 civilians dead within 6 days, more than 1,000 people have been injured since Israel launched Operation Protective Edge one week ago.
Iraq: (7/14 at 12:45 p.m) car bombing killed seven people, (7/14 at 12:00 p.m) 4 civilians killed and 12 wounded

Remember that feeling you get when you hear of a close friend that has either suffered a death in the family or an injury that leaves them hurt for some time? Writing this, I'm trying to help us visualize and feel the suffering that those in Gaza are feeling, or those in Iraq are feeling, or those in Pakistan are feeling..but I just don't think that's possible. I don't think it's possible for us to understand what it feels like to hear a loud noise and know it's not fireworks or a loud thunder but just another explosion coming close to your house. I don't think it's possible for us to understand the worry and fear they get not sure if they're going to live another day. I'm in no way trying to say you don't care...but we just need to think. These are absolutely regular families like mine and yours, why do they have to go through this? I personally have the biggest fear of losing a loved one by seeing them suffer for instance through a disease...but can you imagine having to see your mom, dad, brother, sister, or closest friend having bomb wounds all over with red being the new color of their shirt, or laying in the rubble of their home. Just because it may be a small number does not make the lives or even life any less valuable. It was only after doing my own research did I truly understand what is really going on. Please just go on google and type in Gaza, or Iraq or any place that you know is suffering injustice and just read on what's going on instead of scrolling down your newsfeed and liking the links and videos (unless you're opening all of them, then do continue). Today's post was not about my outfit, though yes I did make an outfit to correlate with the post. Today's post was about me raising my voice because right now, it's the least I can do. We have our voices and we should use them because if we were in their spot, we would want someone to do the same. Not only that, but below will be some links, two of them are about the most recent updates of what is going on in Iraq and Gaza and another link is a charity foundation that is collecting money for those in Iraq. I'm sorry for making you read so much, but these innocent lives deserve this and much more.

Omg where did you get that!?
