Just writing the title already has got the song stuck in my head but hello my lovely fashionistas! It's Monday, and we all know what that means..it means 4 more days till Friday! So blogging and looking at other bloggers made me realize that people try looks that could appeal to as many as people as possible and that's good! But everyone's got their classic look and putting this together made me realize that it's been some time since I've got to wear and share my classic look of meshing pattern-blocking and color-blocking. I had actually just bought this polk-a-dot dress and even though I probably have a lot of polk-a-dot tops...eh what is one more going to do right! It's perfect for the summer and all my hijabis out there because it's loose, flowy yet flatters you and keeps you cool because of the material (wow, I should just get into advertising because you know I sold it to ya!). I'm thinking it'll be my summer dress, or one of them for that matter. You may have felt you've seen this too many times, but sometimes you just want to your classic look so hope you still loved the outfit and see you next Monday!
Omg where did you get that!? Dress: Old Navy Jeans: Charlotte Russe Scarf: Burlington Purse: Steve Madden Flats: Alfani, Macys
Honestly...it was matching at first sight when the blazer laid eyes on the black and white chiffon polk-a-dot shirt. Obviously they needed an instigator to get them together (me of course), but nonetheless, they're matching happily ever after. This week's outfit is just a mix of everything! We've got pattern blocking, a vintage edge look, and to top it off a vibrant blue blazer to put the "icing on the cake" for this outfit!
Before, this outfit was going to be my infinity floral scarf with its variety of colored flowers and black background to tie with the chiffon shirt and what was to be green skinny jeans...but, I decided to change it up instead, giving polk-a-dots an upgrade from just being cute. I love putting this blue blazer with this kind of outfit because it gives a good balance of cute and chic/modern, and adds that splash of blue to the outfit, making it not so serious as a blazer should make an outfit. I just really liked this week's outfit because it's dressed up, but still maintains that simple and cute look. And then of course, how can you not put this outfit with combat boots? Well, actually you can, but it just completes the outfit so well! It coordinates well with the brown mesh of floral in the scarf, and let's be honest, it can just match pretty much anything (which is what makes me love these boots even more).
I know I didn't say much about this week's outfit, but hope you liked it and are getting your boots out and lattes in hand as fall is coming around! :)
